Rebecca Fountain

Owner of KOR Building Group

President of the NV Contractors Association

A native Las Vegas, Rebecca Fountain has been a business entrepreneur and construction industry executive for more than 35 years, starting her career in 1978 as an independent designer and builder of residential homes in southern Nevada. In 1987, she accepted a position with Nevada Power Company (now NV Energy) as a designer and was soon promoted to an elite group of engineers who designed and constructed the Utah Transmission power line. Rebecca was promoted again to work with masterplan developers to design electrical distribution infrastructure for commercial and residential communities.

In 1994, Rebecca formed the first woman-owned subcontracting construction company in the state, Fountain Construction, Inc. , with Nevada State Contractor License classifications an A, B and C-5 categories. Drawing upon her experience in the energy industry, the company specialized in the installation of underground dry utilities infrastructure as well as curb/gutter/sidewalk construction throughout southern Nevada.

The company was certified as a NDOT DBE minority company, performing work for Nevada Power, Sprint Telephone Company, Cox Cable, Nevada Department of Transportation, Nellis Air Force Base, Creech Air Force Base and the Army Corp of Engineers. The company also worked in residential development projects for DR Horton, Richmond American Homes, US Homes and KB Homes.

In 2013, Rebecca formed KOR Building Group, specializing in themed construction and remodels, resort hotel inspection programs and facility maintenance, and airport hospitality and tenant improvement projects. In an industry that is traditionally male dominated, the firm is one of few construction companies recognized as a WBENC Certified Woman Owned Business and has achieved local and statewide acclaim for outstanding work. Rebecca Fountain has earned a reputation not only for outstanding achievement in construction design and management, but she is an inspirational role model for women entrepreneurs throughout the state.
